My little family couldn’t be more excited that Christmas season is here. Our tree is up. And, we’ve eaten our way through several batches of cookies. Thankfully, I have stocked our pantry with flour, sugar, and food colouring. And, my craft cupboards are teaming with glitter, red, green, and gold everything. And, my kids are asking to bake or craft at every turn. With the weather getting colder, I love having quick, easy DIY crafts on hand to entertain the kids and bond over. It also helps to have distractions when my kids get cabin fever. Today, we made these three simple DIY reindeer ornaments to add to our Christmas tree. They took next-to-no time and were so much fun to make!
All you need for these simple DIY Reindeer Ornaments are some old large Christmas lights (the ones you use outside), walnuts, candy canes, pom poms, pipe cleaners or this printable, some string, glue, and googly eyes.
These crafts are great for fine motor skills practice, hand-eye coordination, colour recognition, and hand strength (squeezing the glue and cutting). Also, these reindeer ornaments are such a fun way to have fun with your kids and see their imaginations unfold.
I hope you enjoy making these reindeer ornaments as much as we did! For more simple fun Christmas DIY ideas, check out this post.
